the main cannon of the reaper could slice clean through the alliance ships, which could easily take on a forunner ship. if the unsc made that kind of attempt they would not even make it on the the planet before thier fleet is gone. in the end of mass effect three, after hundreds of thousands of millions of species wiped out over and over again, they finally have the weapon that can stop the reapers and each way they would defeat the reapers had its cost. all the ships in mass effect had missles and massive cannons that make the MAC's look like pistols and they still got obliterated. do you really think the ships that those guys came from could not take on a ship that is soooooo much weaker? yes the infinity has nukes, MAC's, missles, and other stuff it wouldnt make a difference.
do you really think the guys who build the citadel which makes halo rings look like wedding rings would build a ship that couldn't take on a human ship that is thousands of years behind them in technology? look at the banshees in mass effect 3 for example, they would pick up master chief, then fling him across the room until he is knocked out, then they will kill him. the infinity couldnt even get near the forunner ship without being destroyed by its defenses. the reaper easily destroyed most of the ships before finally being destroyed. in the end of mass effect one, we see hundreds of both human and alliance ships which are either equal to or more powerful then the forunner ship in halo 4. Im not sure you guys know how powerful the reapers are.
